Alexandra Day Lavelle

Alex Lavelle focuses her practice on real estate litigation and property-related disputes, representing homeowners, businesses, investors, landlords, and other clients throughout Greater Cleveland. She helps clients navigate property conflicts, contract disputes, and complex civil litigation with a practical and client-centered approach.

Prior to joining N.P. Weiss Law, Alex developed experience across a broad range of litigation matters, including family law, civil rights, employment litigation, and general civil disputes. Her background includes substantial courtroom and litigation experience in both state and federal courts, giving her a well-rounded perspective on dispute resolution and case strategy.

Alex believes effective advocacy begins with understanding a client's objectives and helping them make informed decisions throughout the legal process. She emphasizes honest communication, thoughtful preparation, and practical problem-solving tailored to each client's unique circumstances

Her commitment to advocacy was shaped in part by her work with Florida State University College of Law's Public Interest Law Center, where she assisted survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, supported children's rights initiatives, and participated in access-to-justice programs serving vulnerable populations.

Originally from Northeast Ohio, Alex earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Journalism, summa cum laude, from Ohio University. She currently serves on the boards of Legal Aid of Western Ohio and Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE).
