Tyler Joseph Walchanowicz

Tyler has a passion for seeking justice for clients and strives to ensure that all people receive fair process and just outcomes. Prior to joining Friedman & Nemecek as an associate attorney, he clerked at the firm while attending the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. It was in Ian Friedman’s Cybercrime class that the two met and where Tyler stood out as a bright legal mind. At Cleveland-Marshall, Tyler was an active member of the Entertainment & Sports Law Association which allowed him to compete in the 2019 International Baseball Arbitration Competition hosted by Tulane University. Prior to joining the firm, Tyler also clerked at the Cuyahoga County Public Defender’s Office.

Tyler’s practice focuses on criminal and cyber defense, Title IX defense and litigation, and complex civil litigation. As part of the firm legal team, he has been instrumental in a wide variety of matters including international cyber cases, complex financial fraud investigations and complex corporate disputes. Tyler brings an important dynamic to the firm as an analytical writer that effectively addresses the many quasi-criminal and administrative matters that our clients face.

Tyler is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. He is active in the Criminal Law and Cyber sections. He is also a member of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
