My spouse and I hired Margarget Wong & Associates for immigration legal services after the firm was recommended to us by a number of people who had very successful experiences with the firm. Margaret Wong was initially personally in charge of my spouse’s case with it eventually being handled by Attorney Allison Chan out of the firms Chicago office. Our experience with both Margaret and Allison was very positive, both attorneys always responded to our questions in a very timely manner. From our experience it should be noted that people having cases or in need of legal advice within the United States Immigration System need to be very aware that these cases can take very long periods of time and require: extremely large amount of paperwork, back up documentation, official submissions, and fees to the Federal Government. The attorneys have massive caseloads which can be greatly helped by the client in obtaining, providing, and copying all records such as: certified copies of birth certificates, tax returns, marriage licenses, copies of passports, back ground checks, arrest records, etc. In our experience providing records and mass copying helped expedite the processing time of the case. Expecting all of this back up work to be done by your attorney or para legal slows down your cases processing time and increases chances for errors and omissions. My spouse and I have only the highest praises for Margaret Wong & Associates. Allison Chan in particular successfully navigated our case through the numerous obstacles and pitfalls to a successful outcome. In our initial visit, Margaret Wong laid out a multi-tiered legal flow chart of our case which included how various outcomes within the processing of the case could play out. In the end, the path of our case exactly followed her flow chart and was resolved closely within the time frame she stated it would take to be resolved. Margaret Wong & Associates is a fairly large immigration legal firm. The depth of knowledge and number of staff members they possess was very beneficial for our case. This was due to specialized staff members were available to quickly advise and work on aspects of our case helping with the preparation for our attorney. The cost of competent legal services are high, but the cost was very much worth it to my spouse and I. We both recommend Margaret Wong & Associates without hesitation, and give the firm a 5 out of 5 star rating in handling our case.

I came to the USA on a J1 visa to further my studies on the relationship of heart disease to Lipoprotein sub-groups. I needed to learn new techniques in my field and then return to my relatives, friends and university job in China.
