Our litigation and transactional practice focuses on representing the privately held business, and its owners and managers, in legal matters including all aspects of the life span of a business. For more than 40 years our lawyers have helped form, capitalize, organize and operate, and sell businesses in a variety of industries. When disputes arise, we are experienced in vigorously prosecuting, defending, trying and beneficially settling cases to suit the needs of our business clients.
We have defended title insurance, consumer and home owners association class actions; prosecuted consumer and antitrust class actions; and defended non-party sister company discovery in class actions. Our class action experience includes motion practice, hearings, and settlements in state and federal trial courts, appeals in state and federal courts, and federal MDL cases. We also have served as local counsel where national counsel is spearheading work in multi-state class actions.
We have represented the world's largest hospitiality franchisor in litigation with franchisees and third parties in federal courts across the Midwest, and hospitality franchisees in federal trial and appeals courts, mediation and arbitration, throughout the Eastern half of the US. We have also represented buyers and sellers of hospitality properties and lenders to transactions in the purchase, sale and financing of the disposition of these properties and of notes secured to same.
Our experience includes representing computer manufacturers and distributors in contractual negotiations with the world's largest hardware and software manufacturers, as well as litigation of disputes in state and federal trial and appeals courts, arbitration and mediation, across the country, concentrating in rust-belt jurisdictions. Our general corporate practice has also represented technology entities in formation, merger, finance, employment, construction and other operational matters.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
