I’ve had quite a few lawyers before and by far Oscar fought for me the least. Long story short on day of trial the prosecution declined to start trial. I had a Domestic Violence and during the case I called my son’s school to ask for a copy of his report card, not knowing I couldn’t and picked up a s...econdary charge of protection order violation. Prosecutor declined to go to trial but offered an amended charge for of ATTEMPTED protection order violation and dismissing the DV. I called the school not knowing I couldn’t so I accepted that plea. Judge moved to sentencing right then and when it was time for Oscar to speak on my behalf, he said absolutely NOTHING of substance in my defense. He didn’t speak on the history of previous Domestic Violence allegations that I took to trial with this same person and won several times. He didn’t speak on how I’m married and have several other children. He didn’t point out any of the facts about this case or who I was as a person. These were misdemeanors by the way. And the judge sentenced me to the maximum allowed and kept protection order in place. Still on probation two years later for this misdemeanor and still am not allowed to see my son. He was supposed to file a motion for me after sentencing and never did. I say all this in detail so you know. He talked a good talk and communicated very well. In the end he didn’t walk straight. By no means. Take that for what it’s worth.
