In 2010 I had a major illness that prevented me from working for a significant period of time. I applied for Social Security Disability on my own after this illness continued and was denied. I then hired a Disability Advocate and started the process again thinking this would help. It did not. The adv...ocate firm did not do very much in the way of help with the process. After using a highly recommend SSDI attorney with dismal results a friend of mine recommended Marcia. Immediately she expressed confidence in my case. She and her staff represented me through 3 appeals on my initial application all the way to the Federal level. Also, we caught a huge mistake that ...the Social Security folks denied one appeal because they claimed we missed a deadline. Really, thought, we made the deadline and the Social Security folks actually whited out a date and typed over a new date. This is exactly why, unfortunately, folks like me need folks like Marcia. Meanwhile, she knew the SSDI system well enough to advise me I was eligible to apply for a second new application while my original ap made its way through the system. It was the second application, that was approved within 4 months that saved me from financial ruin. And eventually, the original ap was referred back to the regional administrative judge and we won that too!! I will be forever grateful to Marcia!
