also known as formerly Emily Gilbert
Emily E. Warren is a 2005 graduate from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law and was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 2006. She joined Margolius, Margolius and Associates in 2006 as an associate attorney. She has been a partner at this firm since 2021.
Emily Warren heads up the ERISA litigation section of Margolius, Margolius and Associates and has over 15 years of litigation experience in this area. She has worked extensively on ERISA / Long Term Disability, SERS, OPERS, STRS, and Social Security disability cases since joining the firm. Emily is a highly proficient writer and has enjoyed significant success at the Federal Court level in appealing Social Security disability cases.
Emily also enjoys litigation in the civil rights areas of housing and employment discrimination. The litigation cases range from disability, age, race, and sex discrimination cases to fair housing discrimination cases. She handles these matters before the Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and litigates these cases in Ohio state courts and the U.S. Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio. In addition, Emily champions the rights of the disabled working on ERISA disability claims (short and long term disability) in both the U.S. Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, advocating for an expansion of employee rights under ERISA. She has made this area of the law, which notoriously favors large insurance companies, one of her primary focuses.
Emily is admitted to practice before all Ohio Courts, as well as before the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio. She is the current President of the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) and the former Treasurer of CELA. She is also a member of the American Bar Association; Cleveland Bar Association (in both the Young Lawyers Section and the Womens' Law Section); and Ohio Employment Lawyers Association. Emily has dedicated herself to broadening the rights of sick and disabled employees in the workplace.
Emily is a frequent speaker before municipalities, professional associations, and community groups on employment and disability issues.

Emily will fight for you. You’ve got a friend in her. She’s someone you can truly trust.
Emily was hired to represent me and my Social Security disability claim. Emily represented me for five years on this claim. She would never once fell to answer. Any question I ever had and Lord knows I had plenty. She comforted me during my tears after denial and said we’re gonna file another appeal...
"I endorse this lawyer. Emily is highly skilled in many areas but excels in long term diisability, employment law and Social Security disability. She aggressively pursues her clients' rights, while caring about their satisfaction and comfort with the legal process."
