The reason GAL's should not be an attorney

Do not hire this attorney or accept her as a GAL!! An unbiased assessment of her character, skills, and stability is available here: http://www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/rod/docs/pdf/0/2011/2011-Ohio-767.pdf. In my experience with her, she did not return calls and email requests for assistance as a G...AL for more than 1 month after being appointed. When we did talk, she said "Don't call me again until you've paid me." This was not the response I expected from someone that says they became a GAL to assist families and look out for children. When she was involved, she ignored key aspects of the case; proven domestic violent claims where I was the victim (i'm male so that's likely the reason she ignored it), proven stability issues with my ex wife - a forensic psychologist performed a custody evaluation and expressed concerns about my ex and her ability to parent and understand reality, repeated school absences when my daughters were with their mother, my ex calling me a "child molester" multiple times in front of my daughters, and my ex being fired for stealing from her employer during the divorce process. However, Becky did ensure I paid my ex wife support and alimony even though my daughters are with me 5 days a week and every weekend (Wed to Sun). When she lost her license as a result of stealing from the account of an incompetent ward, she no longer met the requirements to be a GAL. Yet she never told me she was suspended, the reason she was suspended, or that she did not qualify to be a GAL. She never met with me one-to-one to address my concerns and what I felt was best for my children. She never enforced the requirement that my ex wife have a psychological evaluation - as per the custody evaluator that provided an objective assessment. She did not ensure that I as the primary parent had the resources needed to care for my girls - again, as per the assessment of the custody evaluator - a Forensic Psychologist. At one point, she even berated me because I dropped off my daughters at their mother's on Mother's day. I took them at the court standard time for that day, 10 AM. Becky chastised me and said I should have taken them later since my ex worked the night before. Really, it's a no win situation with this attorney. In addition, she constantly got her facts wrong regarding the information provided to her. This is just a small example of her incompetence and ineptitude. You can trust the endorsement of the senior lawyer in her office, or you can trust the multiple reports of ineptitude and unprofessional behavior available on through google searches and the State Supreme Court's website.
