If the Grand Jury does indict, usually the indictment will be served by summons (notice to show up to a court date) and not via an arrest warrant....

Warrants never expire. There's a good chance his warrant will be found when he re-enters the country so the Feds will arrest him for CT.

This law does not exist. To get credit for 12 months, he has to serve 12 months

No. There aren't attorneys that wait around to try criminal cases for free.

They aren't his charges to drop. The police decide if someone gets charged.

You need to ask the person supervising you and also check the papers you were given upon release.

There is no shortened time conversion for people in prison. In Ohio, 1 year = 1 year.
