Sydney is an attorney licensed to practice in the state of Ohio and serves as Managing Partner of Victor & Volante Co. LPA. Her legal focus is tailored to the areas of sports, entertainment, small-business formation and regulation, and unique contract drafting and negotiation. Her non-legal focuses include independent consulting, marketing and brand strategy, business development and operations, and text editing.
During her law school career, Sydney maintained a position as a project coordinator for TEEMA Solutions Group and has since been retained by TEEMA to overhaul their onboarding and marketing campaigns through brand strategy and business development. In addition to this role, Sydney completed externships for Judge Susan Paradise Baxter in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the COO of SPIRE Institute, Jeff Orloff. Prior to law school, Sydney clerked for Grant & O’Malley Co., LPA, a boutique law firm in Cleveland with multiple practice areas.
Sydney currently remains involved with the family-owned company, The Victor Group LLC, and continues to maintain a partnership role in business relations at Fralo Industries. She serves as a teaching and editing assistant for Professor Peter Carfagna and the Great Lakes Sports and Entertainment Law Academy. Sydney will be assisting Professor Carfagna with his course at the Harvard Extension School in Summer 2016.
Sydney graduated from Lake Erie College with a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology with minors in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice and was a 2011 NCAA All-Academic in Varsity Tennis. Sydney completed her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. During law school, she concurrently spent semesters at the University of Oxford at St. Anne’s College for international and comparative law and the Great Lakes Sports and Entertainment Law Academy in Cleveland, Ohio.
Sydney’s love of sports and entertainment developed from childhood and she brings this passion into her work at Victor & Volante. She was an avid equestrian for 15 years and competed in multiple hunter/jumper show circuits. Sydney earned presidential status of the International Thespian Society and participated in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with the volunteer group America Sings. She has also spent time on the Peek n’ Peek and Holimont traveling ski racing teams and continues to partake in numerous outdoor sports.
