Lawyer review

Patricia Schraff has been my lawyer for approximately 10 - 12 years. I have found her to be very attentive and helpful to me in many areas. She spent a great deal of time helping me do financial planning, end of life planning, and always was available to answer any questions or concerns I might h...ave, and in fact, I would not hesitate, even today, to call her with a question or to ask for advice. I have recommended her to family members, who have used her services and also found her to be accommodating and helpful.

Lack of follow up

Sent billing for initial consult to wrong party one year after consult occurred. Failed to follow through on plan of action outlined in consult in spite of client contacting office three times to arrange. Office staff continued to send back dated invoices to wrong party in spite of being notified. ... Attorney failed to respond to client's request to meet, billed for consult which consisted of demographic information gathering and nothing more.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
