Run!!!! Horrible and unprofessional

The only time you will hear from Sarah's office is when they want money or to reschedule or cancel an appointment! She cancels ALL of the time. She sounds helpful until she gets all of your money and then you are left high and dry with an attorney who doesn't care!!! She seems to jave literally no f...eeling or regard for her clients. To top it off her staff is snippy and not helpful either!!! RUN!!!! Find yourself a real attorney!

You Can’t Say Nobody Told You So

Sarah will win you over effortlessly in the consult - you’ll feel so confident in her and her abilities and that she’s going to be your advocate, even fiercely so if needed. But buyer beware: you’ve just been legally love bombed. After your consult, maybe you’ll get a few decently responsive emails, ...maybe you’ll even get a return phone call…maybe. But don’t bet on it. Because you’re officially in the upside down now, just settle on in. So before you even think about booking that consult, let me help you better understand what you absolutely will and won’t get. What you will get: long periods of literally no response - not to emails, messages you leave with her receptionists, or voicemails left; untimely, brief, incomplete, confusing, and often outright contradicting responses; constantly rescheduled, pushed back, or canceled appointments; complete lack of preparation for calls or meetings with you or for any aspect of your trial to the extent that basic details of your case are wholly unknown (well actually, they’ve just been totally forgotten, over and over again, leaving you seriously wondering if you somehow accidentally stumbled upon the human version of Dory and hired her as your attorney) - and major details - you know the specifics of your case and the foundation of your argument? - nah, guys. Big nope . It’s just a “let go and let God” thing at this point because those won’t ever be discussed let alone utilized; incorrect, incomplete, and inaccurate motions and filings fraught with embarrassing mistakes, and that’s *IF* you’re lucky enough to get something filed and filed on time; crucially missed deadlines and costly delays; no follow-up whatsoever on anything the other party is doing, requesting, filing, or saying; late and empty-handed arrival to any element of your trial; absolutely zero strategy - we’re just flying blind guys. Like it’s a real fingers-crossed, nail biter, edge of your seat kind of a situation, so pro tip for my nervous sweaters: hydrate and bring your backup deodorant along, and never underestimate the way some face blotters can really come in clutch; lots and lots of wide eyed, deer in the headlights types of gazes where responses should be, especially during trial; and finally, you will positively feel unseen, unheard, unimportant, and abandoned during an already overwhelming and vulnerable time, and all while paying invoice after invoice while nothing ever gets done. What you won’t get: anything that even remotely resembles the outcome you want or the effort required to get there; sound legal advice; clarity or follow through, in any sense - like ever. For anything. This is just another one we give the wheel to Jesus on, kids - it just is what it is; and in summation: an attorney that does not serve anything that comes anywhere near the vicinity of your best interests, because let’s be so for real here for a minute - how could she possibly when she doesn’t know anything about you, your case, your needs, where you’re willing to compromise vs where you need to hold hard boundaries, your desired outcome, or essentially any other element that’s relevant and necessary to actually representing you. So if you’re a skimmer and hopped on down to here and you’ve read nothing else, read this: pay attention to the other reviews that are all saying these same things and take heed. Sarah will leave you high and dry, puts in zero effort, lacks all follow through, is the human embodiment of Dory weirdly mixed with the dog from Up, and when you’re ADHD is seemingly on a 10 - it’s all the more reason for layers of preparedness, and you won’t even get one. You’ll feel frustrated, embarrassed, and bamboozled and you’ll wish you sifted through the clearly inflated and honestly questionable positive reviews and took these cautionary ones more seriously and a slogan change is most definitely in order. Scammed By Sarah? Silence by Sarah? Spent by Sarah? Honestly, just spare yourself from Sarah.

If I could choose zero stars, I would

Sarah started off absolutely wonderful.. she seemed communicative, kind and caring. The second a speed bump came up in my case, things hit a 180. She seemed to intentionally just throw my case away. She didn’t fight for anything at all. My child’s father told numerous lies to the court, I had doc...umented proof of stuff and she didn’t look into any of it. And it took me weeks to get ahold of her every single time I needed to speak with her. No joke, sometimes I’d go 2-3 weeks with no email response, no call back and sometimes you couldn’t even leave a voicemail. She was absolutely impossible to get ahold of. She wa also highly unprepared at every single one of our court dates. I’d show 10-15 minutes early every court date and she’d always be 10-20 minutes late. If you’ve been through a custody case, you know how absolutely emotionally wrecking they are. I’d be a ball of anxiety walking into the court and we’d never even have time to speak before it was time for court. Mind you, there were times when she didn’t return emails or calls for weeks before this so we hadn’t even had time to speak at all about my case. My case went to trial and she canceled my trial prep TWICE. The day of my trial, she said we’d run through trial prep before we went into the court room and once again, showed up late and did absolutely zero trial prep with me at all. I guess we didn’t need it considering she bended and folded to every single thing that the other party wanted and made me feel like I’d lose my entire case if I didn’t just bow and agree with them. She’s expensive and absolutely not worth it I don’t recommend at all. Avoid her at all costs

Doesn't have paid clients best interest in mind.

I told Ms. Haberland I would not accept a plea deal. She agreed and said we should take it to trial. The state threatened reindictment, she said it would be good if they attempted to reindict because there was not sufficient evidence. The state reindicted, she said she wanted more money to take it to... trial and I said no and then she withdrew from the case without even showing up to court. Subsequently I was found guilty of the reindictment at trial. Ms. Haberland LIED to my Appelate Attorney stating that she told me to take the plea deal. Subsequently my convictions were vacated on insufficiency of evidence by the Sixth District Court of Appeals. Ms. Haberland is a stereotypical, prosecution friendly, you scratch my back, I scratch your back attorney. She does not beleive in justice. She is simply out for herself and making money.
