Yes…the prosecutor could dismiss the disorderly and charge him with domestic violence and assault instead (while the case is still pending)....

There is no real quick time limit for them to set a probation violation hearing. But, they do have to set a bond quickly. Does she have a bond yet?

Unfortunately, you should still be worried. It's not at all uncommon for them to take months (or even years) to file charges in sex cases.
