Case against Pharmacy
N/AOUTCOME: The law in the state of Missouri was changed and created the above duty in regard to pharmacists.
This was a case against a local pharmacy which filled three prescription medications which ultimately led to the patient's death. The case was appealed to the Missouri Court of Appeals where the court ... changed the law in the state of Missouri and found that a pharmacist indeed has a duty to not fill prescriptions which could endanger a patient's health despite the fact that the pharmacist filled the prescriptions per the doctor's orders.
