Ohio Probate Litigation Cases are the only type of cases I work on. Most I take on a "contingency fee" basis - which means I don't get paid a fee unless I obtain a recovery for you through trial or settlement. I handle Will Contests, Trust Contests and other Inheritance disputes. Contact me at my email address to discuss your case.
My practice is exclusively in the complex and unique area of probate litigation. Probate Litigation includes will contests (challenges to the validity of a last will), trust contests, inheritance disputes, claims against estates, guardianship matters, elder financial abuse, and misuse of power of attorney cases. I have been handling these types of cases for 15 years and I do not handle any other kind of legal matters.
My Probate Litigation experience encompasses all phases of the case includng filing the lawsuit, discovery of evidence, taking depositions, reviewing and using medical records, reviewing and using financial records, and taking the case to a trial in front of a jury, obtaining verdicts in favor of our clients. I have also successfully mediated and settled these kinds of cases.
I have spoken at seminars in Ohio on various probate litigation topics. I have also been a regular monthly speaker at the Toledo Bar Association Probate Committee Meetings, speaking on current Probate Litigation Law topics, since 2002.
I have been licensed to practice law in Ohio since 1991. Early in my career I handled various types of legal matters including real estate, probate, family law, and estate planning. I was also a prosecutor in the Perrysburg Municipal Court where I gained experience in trial practice, taking many cases to trial during my tenure there.

You won't find a better family law/trust attorney anywhere
My case involved the kidnapping of an incapacitated family member from Florida to Ohio. I needed immediate assistance and Dan was the first attorney I contacted that was not only willing to work with me but had an action plan ready within hours of our initial contact. I contacted Dan on a Friday, r...
"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked with Dan on several cases over the past few years. He has extensive knowledge of probate matters and the law, and his litigation skills are remarkable. I have observed him expertly pick apart defendants while taking their deposition. I took many mental notes on how to illicit the evidence needed to win a probate litigation case during the depositions he led. He is professional and aggressive, and he secures the results his clients seek and deserve."
"I wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Zigray. I have faced Mr. Zigray as opposing counsel on many difficult cases over nearly two decades and I am never disappointed by his professionalism and ability to apply the law to difficult situations. He is unwavering in his loyalty to his clients and yet serves to facilitate settlements in appropraite situations for the benefit of the parties who are often related to one another."
"I strongly endorse Daniel Zigray. Dan is a conscientious and accomplished attorney who is well respected among his peers."

"Dan is one of the best probate litigators I have seen. He would be an excellent counselor and resource for probate and trust litigation."
