My client was injured in an accident and prescribed Oxycontin and Lortab to help with his pain. His doctor continued to direct my client to remain on the pills three times a day, even when his pain had ... tremendously decreased. He even reported pain levels of 0 on most days. He eventually became hooked on the drugs due to his doctor over-prescribing them. He lost his job, was isolated from his family and struggled with his addiction for two years. He eventually had to go through rehab in order to recover. We sued his doctor for malpractice due to his negligence.
