Southaven, MS Careless Driving Ticket Dismissed

Our client was arrested for Careless Driving after he made an illegal left turn on Main Street in Southaven, MS right in front of a police officer. The police officer's report said our client sped off ... after a turn and had been "fishtailing" all over the road. However, our client insisted that the cop was embellishing and that he did not drive in an "unsafe" manner. After reviewing the police report and discussing the matter with the Southaven Municipal Prosecuting Attorney and the judge, we were able to get a great offer to resolve his case. The Prosecutor agreed to dismiss his case completely if he did 8 hours of community service and attended an online educational course. Our client was more than happy to take this great deal. Dismissing the case saved him hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars on car insurance payments and court fines. It also saved him from having a permanent criminal misdemeanor record following him for the rest of his life. As a result of this dismissal, our client can now petition the court to have his arrest record expunged so that it won't appear on a background check.
