If you are on post release control this could be seen as a violation. It would be best to get a lawyer after you pleas not guilty.

Under complicity a person who is part of any crime can be charged as principal or accomplice.

Beat case is not guilty. Worst case is found guilty of felonious. More likely would be aggravated assault which is a F4. Need a lawyer to fight...

You may ask the governor to commute his sentence. You may also file a motion for new trial if there is new evidence
