Biography
Defended a former COO in the largest criminal private securities fraud litigation defending on charges of conspiracy, securities fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud and money laundering. Currently defending in parallel multi-district civil suit, to include The Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), where the SEC has sought a civil injunction on allegations of a scheme to defraud investors out of $2.6 billion.
Successfully defended a general surgeon in a medical malpractice lawsuit, in which a jury, after 1 hour and 21 minutes returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the doctor. Affirmed on appeal, Iglodi v. Tolentino, et al., 2007-Ohio-1982.
Affirmed by the Tenth District Court of Appeals on the trial court granting summary judgment against an attorney for malpractice. Goldberg v. Mittman, 2007-Ohio-6599, appeal not accepted for review by Ohio Supreme Court 2008-0195.
Successfully represented a defendant in federal court on the charge of knowingly possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
