Scott N. Friedman

I recently used Scott and his firm to represent me in a divorce with a very difficult spouse. I thought that Scott, as well as the associate attorneys who assisted with my case, listened to my concerns and gave me honest advice as to how to handle the situation to get the best outcome given the circu...mstances. I thought they managed my case as cost efficiently as possible with each member of the staff providing the necessary level of expertise at the appropriate hourly rate. Each staff member with whom I worked from Scott on down was knowledgeable, responsive and professional. I would definitely recommend Scott to anyone else who finds himself or herself in these unfortunate circumstances.

Scott and his team did an excellent job gathering relevant information about my case without being wasteful. They were always conscientious of billable hours throughout the process and were clear about the things that were critical and the things that were not. Scott used plenty of common sense eve...n when opposing counsel didn't seem to have any. Scott has an excellent working knowledge of the courts and the system. He was realistic about using his experience to guide me down the right path and not get sidetracked by things that weren't important. He can be tough with the other side when needed but always willing to work toward resolution keeping the end goal in mind. I would highly recommend Scott and his team.

I would encourage you to look elsewhere when seeking a quote un quote "top notch" attorney. Just because someone's name is on the building - doesn't mean they built it. Too many charges for the same work that was done over and over due to Scott's personal situation. He would push things off to the... junior associates - who didn't really know what they were doing - causing and creating a situation that would replicate work and in turn - keep the meter running - driving up the cost of litigation. Too many of these "top" attorneys are friends with all the other "top" attorneys here in town - which creates a major conflict of interest when you are supposed to be getting representation for you and you only. In the most recent round of representation - Scott and his firm failed to inform me of the adverse effects the revised agreement would have on me financially. Who would agree to something that would cost them more money? Well when an attorney and his staff are only concerned about one thing and that thing being your money and how they can get their hands on it - be prepared for charges that you never dreamed up showing up on your monthly statement. They will not step up and admit when they make mistakes - such as in my case. They blamed me for not informing them of the situation - they got it wrong - they were to inform me - I didn't go to law school - they did. To blame a client that they didn't inform them - absurd - considering they had all the information they needed to properly represent me and they failed to do so. I would encourage you to look elsewhere - when looking for "top notch" representation. Just because they are the most expensive - doesn't necessarily mean they are the best. Remember - divorce lawyers love drama - makes then more money and if they don't put a stop to the endless lying and false statements - are they really doing their job? Failed on so many fronts - seek counsel elsewhere.
