Mark is a principal and the founder of the firm and has a general practice, with an emphasis s in the areas of construction and mechanics’ law. He is experienced in business acquisition, general corporate work and all phases of real estate law. Mark is also a trained arbitrator and served on the construction arbitration panel of the American Arbitration Association for over 25 years.
Mark was born and raised in the Columbus area. He attended Ohio Dominican College, now University, where he majored in political science and graduated cum laude in 1970. He received his law degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1973, where he again graduated cum laude. While attending law school Mark received The Order of the Coif as well as other honors.
Mark lectures frequently on mechanics’ lien law and other construction related topics for bar associations and numerous construction associations and organizations. He was one of the primary draftsmen of Ohio’s modern mechanics’ lien law. He has served as the chairman of both the Construction Law Committee of the Columbus Bar Association and the Law Group of the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio.
Mark is also an active member of numerous construction related organizations and associations. He belongs to The Building Industry Association of Central Ohio and The Home Builders Association of Ohio, to name a few.
Mark and his wife Linda, who is the firm’s bookkeeper, live in Pickerington where they raised their three children. Mark and Linda are active members of St. Philip The Apostle Church on the far east side of Columbus, where he lectors and she plays the organ
