Charles Louis Bluestone

I don't normally write reviews but I feel compelled to write one for a person that goes above and beyond to protect the interest of their clients. Most attorneys have a bad reputation because they are in it just for the money. When I purchased my car wash in Columbus OH, the tax assessment should hav...e been based on the purchase price which would have effectively tripled my property tax bill on a yearly basis. After several calls to business acquaintances and after speaking to several attorneys, I chose to put my trust into Charles Bluestone of Bluestone Law Group. Mr. Bluestone was 100% honest and transparent. He did everything that he could to resolve my case. I could not be more pleased with the services that was provided by Mr. Bluestone and his staff. It is not very often these days that you meet people that want to solve problems for their clients with the eagerness and integrity of Bluestone Law Group. I wish that everybody conducted their business in the way that Chuck Bluestone does. It is my pleasure to leave this review because I know that ultimately, I am helping others to find somebody to help them to get positive results without feeling taken advantage of, but protected. As a Christian, I know that God rewards those who do business in the manner of helping people first and foremost.

In 2017 my wife and I were hit with a large increase in the appraised value of a house that we owned in Westerville, OH which we were renting to friends.  The county's appraisal was more than 50% higher than offers we had received for the house.  We contested the county's valuation and submitted an a...ppraisal by a firm we had used before.  Just before the hearing, we were told that the school board was opposing our motion, and that it would be represented by a lawyer at the hearing.  We selected Charles Bluestone, who was recommended by an accountant we knew.  Mr. Bluestone managed the hearing in such a way that the board granted our petition (we were not there, since we live far from Ohio).  When the school board appealed the decision, Mr. Bluestone recommended a different appraiser, whom we used.  Mr. Bluestone also suggested that if we were able to contact the school board ourselves directly, we might succeed in getting them to tell their law firm to drop the appeal, since it appeared to be a waste of the school board's money.  This I was able to do, fortunately, and the matter came to an end.  The result was a reduction of our taxes, even below what they had been in previous years, so that we came out ahead.  Moreover, in the following triennial, the county kept the appraisal number that was reached through the litigation, so we are saving a substantial amount in taxes during this triennial.  I thought Mr. Bluestone managed the matter with skill.  I liked the result very much. And I would recommend him to anyone who needs to contest the valuation of their property.  

Charles was the consummate professional throughout the duration of my case, which was a complaint against the tax valuation of my real estate property. He was able to negotiate and reach a settlement that ultimately saved me thousands of dollars. Additionally, he was responsive, easily reachable, and... provided clear communication with each interaction. He also provided last minute services of reviewing a real estate selling contract within 2 hours when I was in a pinch for time, and in doing so caught some critical points that were ultimately changed and helped to provide me with additional legal protection.
