Christopher John Minnillo

I do not recommend hiring Chris Minnillo. I felt he was at the point in his career & life where he should probably retire and this was about 2-3 years ago. He would at times be very aggressive and then at times be very passive almost as if he didn’t care. He told me things about my divorce case that... turned out to be wrong or untrue. I thought I got a okay result in my divorce case but I’m now taking my ex-wife back to court for a modification and 3 attorneys I talked to when looking to hire one for the new case all said I should have gotten much more than what I got in my divorce case. When I told them Minnillo was my previous divorce attorney some of the other attorneys rolled their eyes and said in a negative tone that yeah they know all about him. There is just something that is off with Chris Minnillo. Then I came on here and read the reviews before I posted my own review of Minnillo and his responses to his other client’s reviews on here is strange and unprofessional to say the least.

Mr. Minnillo wasted my time and my money. He didn’t get me anything I asked for in the divorce case. My ex-husbands attorney was better prepared and much more calm than Minnillo was both inside and outside the courtroom. Mr. Minnillo charged me over $25,000 and I got almost nothing and the divorce ca...se was a pretty basic type of case. This guy still uses an AOL e-mail account if you want to know how up to date he is with technology, which should have been a huge red flag for me but I ignored it. I definitely made a huge mistake hiring this so called attorney. I do not recommend Christopher Minnillo at all.

Chris is by far the best attorney I have ever worked with!! My wife started taking about divorce about 6 months ago and at that time Chris counseled me on the appropriate actions to take to prepare if we stayed together or spilt. Well worse come to worse my wife did file for divorce but thanks to Chr...is I was already prepared. As soon as I let Chris know he went into action immediately. He gave me step by step instructions on what he needed from me to be successful and at the end of the day that’s exactly what we were “successful”! Chris was very patient with me the entire time which is great because I can be pushy at times. Chris helped me to reign in my emotions through the ups and downs of court and the divorce process. The best advice I can give is to Trust Chris 100% of the time. At times it may seem like the information you provide doesn’t have much importance but trust me Chris is using it and stacking the information appropriately to get you a tactical advantage. He is a tactician and when you go through a divorce it’s chess not checkers so just follow through with his requests and trust his experience! In closing remember Chris is your lawyer and works for you but he needs the information from you so provide all that you can and let him sort it out. When my case was complete I got joint custody, joint custodial rights, no child support, no alimony and I only had to give my wife $10,000. Keep in mind my wife was a stay at home Mom with no job at the time. I was able to get 90% of what I wanted which is unheard of. This was all possible because I followed his directions, provided information and let him formulate a plan.

I hired chris in Feb 2015 after getting wind that my wife had filed for a divorce. Chris Came as a reference from a co-worker. From the start Chris was honest and up front on what to expect. I will say that he kept his calm and did not hype up the drama or threats being created by opposing council. M...y now ex-wifes attorney was a real piece of work who took her to the cleaners. He filed a total of ten motions over what would end up being an 18 month battle. I was faced with a long distance move 5 months in and forced to start fresh. Chris stuck by my side and kept me updated at all times. His para-legal Joni is always pleasant and up to date on the case. I always looked forward to chatting with her on her thoughts when I called. In the end my ex wife walked away with nothing more than her half and thousands in attorney debt. I am very pleased and would recommend Chris to anyone looking for a down to earth, honest and level headed attorney.
