Client was coming down a turn lane when he was hit by a motorist coming out of a drive through. The at fault driver was attempting to cross through the turn lane and make a left hand turn. My client ... had knee surgery and neck surgery. The causation of the injuries was difficult because my client had extensive pre-existing injuries. In addition, the Defendant was a 19 year old. At trial, I could not inform the jury about the insurance coverages available. The defense also contested liability, alleging that my client was speeding and using the turn lane as a travel lane. The highest presuit offer was $105,000. I tried to settle the case for $175,000.
