OUTCOME: The Georgia Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court's grant of summary judgment to our client.

Our firm was hired to defend an individual acting as a power of attorney. Specifically, we defended her for the actions that she took in an effort to re-title her ward's assets when she learned that ... a caregiver had influenced the ward into titling certain assets and beneficiary designations into the caregiver's name. The trial court granted summary judgment in our clients favor.

OUTCOME: The South Carolina Court of Appeals overturned the trial ruling in favor of my client determining that SCDSS failed to prove its case with a preponderance of the evidence.

I was appointed pro bono to represent an individual who was alleged to have abused and neglected his children. During the investigation of the matter it became apparent SCDSS had no real evidence of t ... he matter. The trial court ignored the lack of evidence and ruled in favor of SCDSS.
