I take great pride in being a criminal defense attorney. I feel honored to defend my clients and I respect the trust each one places in me. I have very strong trial skills and an empathetic concern for each client. I work hard to help achieve the best possible outcome for each client. In order to more effectively defend my clients, I have limited my practice to criminal and DUI defense. I have successfully defended clients charged with capital murder, aggravated murder, murder, rape, robbery, kidnapping, drug offenses, domestic violence and child abuse. I am also experienced in, and have successfully defended, cases involving allegations of “shaken baby” as well as multiple bone fractures. My practice also encompasses DUI defense and the related charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.
Throughout my practice I have developed a strong understanding of the forensic sciences and issues commonly confronted in criminal cases: forensic pathology, toxicology, tire impressions, speed calculations, finger prints, psychological and psychiatric illnesses. I strive to understand the science and methodology associated with the many different types of experts I encounter, particularly DNA evidence. I frequently consult on DNA issues in cases, and have presented several lectures in an effort to help other attorneys understand and defend against DNA evidence. I have also achieved a strong working understanding of the medical science and issues related to shaken baby cases as well as multiple fracture cases. I am also certified in DWI detection and the administration of NHTSA standardized field sobriety testing.
I am a past president of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (2009) and a continuing board member of OACDL. I am a long-standing member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Fairfield County Bar Association and I have been a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 continuously since 2013. I am also proud to be a graduate of NACDL’s National Criminal Defense College.

The Person We Needed
Andrew walked our family through a very difficult situation. His office responded quickly to messages and calls. His staff was delightful and helped every step of the way. Incredibly Competent and Professional
Of all the attorneys I consulted with before choosing one represent myself, I found Andrew Stevenson to be the most honest, straightforward and knowledgeable. He made the legal process I endured much more manageable, and I always felt as though things were under control while following his counsel. I...

Excellent work
We are very satisfied with the care and compassion Andrew showed during our time of uncertainty. We found ourselves at odds with multiple attorneys not willing to take on the case due to one reason or another. Initially we thought a public defender would be the only option, but I widened our search a...

Honest and Non-Judgemental
Andrew Stevenson represented my son on a child endangerment charge. The case also involved children services, which in itself was a nightmare. From the start Mr. Stevenson was professional and upfront with a nonjudgmental attitude. The case was complicated, long and very upsetting. Throughout the who...

"I highly recommend Mr. Stevenson if you are in need of an attorney for any criminal matter. He is one of the best in the area."
"I strongly endorse Andrew Stevenson. He is a talented and hard working criminal defense lawyer. I worked closely with Andrew in an extremely difficult murder case in 2010 and 2011, and was impressed with his legal ability, attention to detail, and compassion for his client."
"I've known Mr. Stevenson for a number of years. Mr. Stevenson is one of the top criminal defense attorneys in our area. I have no problem not endorsing him, but I have also recommended clients to him in the past."
"Attorney Stevenson exemplifies the very best attributes of an active attorney and displays a high level of professionalism, confidence and skill we should all aspire to. Honesty, dedication and a love of the law, which means. giving back to others who lack our understanding of the law and a benefit from our inherent desire to provide solutions to problems. The thousands years of combined legal experience of professionals activity participating in this forum represent some of the very best of our profession, which is after all, at its base is desire to help those in need. This Attorney’s experience and knowledge, I believe, demonstrates that there is a desire to provide accurate advice and obtain appropriate results for clients. Most importantly, this Attorney is willing to help complete strangers (as is the case in this forum) with their legal problems for which we collectively provide useful information, thereby demystifying the legal process as much as possible. I would recommend"
"I endorse this lawyer. Andrew and I have worked together on cases and at State seminars. Andrew thinks outside the box to come up with successful and innovative ideas."
