A divorce attorney is not a psychic magician--he doesn't know your financials and he can't pretend to be you at a notary, so yes, there is some work for you to do. We hired Brian to help us with a divorce situation. It now has been 7 months and not much has got done. Every time we needed to fix paperwork it would take him about three weeks to a month to even respond back.
