This case revolved around a contract disputed between the parties, and included claims, among others, of Breach of Contract and Tortious Interference with a Business Expectancy. Included with the Tort ... claim, we asked the jury for punitive damages, meaning damages because they had acted wrongly towards my client. During the course of the two-day trial we presented evidence that the Defendants had breached their contract and interfered with the Plaintiffs right to be paid under their contract. The 12-person jury returned a unanimous verdict for my clients and also awarded punitive damages totaling more then $90,000.00. Additionally, my client was awarded $10,000.00 in attorney fees.
