Tyler is an experienced patent, trademark, and copyright lawyer with a solid tech background in mechanical/electrical product design and manufacturing. Prior to beginning his career as an IP Lawyer, Tyler designed and tested automotive safety systems as well as various home consumer products. His experience includes 3D modelling/drafting, tooling design, manufacturing/assembly plans, technical drafting, and the design and testing of various mechanical/electromechanical systems from beta level through mass production.
Tyler's practice includes the preparation and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications involving mechanical, electrical, software, and business method inventions. Tyler also counsels clients on trademark and copyright matters as well as employee, licensing, and confidentiality agreements.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University (cum laude) and with Honors in Engineering. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Capital University (cum laude). Tyler is admitted to practice law in Ohio and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
In his spare time, Tyler enjoys performing as a musician, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and kiteboarding.
