PRO
also known as Elizabeth Werner
After completing her undergraduate degree at Ohio University, Elizabeth moved back to central Ohio. She graduated from Capital Law School with the honors of Order of the Curia and a concentration in Dispute Resolution.
After being sworn in, Elizabeth has had the opportunities to be a founding member of small firms, including a multidisciplinary practice. Early in her career she had the opportunity to work with local Mayor Courts as a fill in prosecutor, represent client in misdemeanor and felony criminal actions, work part-time for Delaware County Child Support Enforcement Agency, and experience all facets of divorce and custodial actions.
Although she enjoyed being a partner, in 2008, she decided to join a firm as an associate in a firm that focused on Domestic Law. Elizabeth understood that there were opportunities and experiences that could only be obtained by being part of a larger firm.
In August 2024, Elizabeth decided to venture back out on her own by opening E.R. Werner Legal, LLC. Although she continues to focus her practice on family law matters, she has expanded her opportunities to include mediation, Guardian ad Litem appointments, and Parenting Coordination. She feels that the solo firm environment allows her to provide individualized attention to each of her clients and their needs.
Over the past 20 years, Elizabeth has focused her career on helping individuals work through some of the darkest and most stressful times in their lives. Although there are some similarities in cases, she understands that each case has unique needs and barriers. To help individuals the first task is to listen and understand what is happening in the individual's life and determining their personal goals and hopes. There is not just a financial cost with domestic matters-- there are also emotional, employments, and relationship costs to consider, especially when children are involved. In a typical civil case, once the case is over, the parties never have to communicate again. In a divorce or never married custody action, even after the litigation ends, the parents have to find a way forward. You cannot control the other parent's actions, but Elizabeth's goal is to help find a resolution and strategies that that will reduce the chance for future litigation and minimize the stress a parent has in working with an ex, and most importantly, find resolutions that meet the children's needs.

Highly Recommended
I found Mrs. Werner to be a highly intelligent individual, with the knowledge and experience to provide exceptional legal representation. I was impressed with her ability to be compassionate and receptive to my concerns as a client, but aggressively protect my rights as a parent, and successfully bat...
