We hired and paid a retainer for this lawyer and he was not responsive at all. The person we hired him for has been in jail since November and we find out at pre-trial on January 22nd he said he cannot practice (according to what was said at pre-trial)?! We were never given a copy of the discovery pa...cket until pre-trial. He stated he placed several motions and requested documents which were never done. At the pre-trial he sent in a guy named Carlos who was unaware of the case j Tom the NIGHT BEFORE pre-trial. Just for Carlos to say he cannot take the case as it was a conflict of interest. So now we don’t have a lawyer and we are out of the $1,000 we used to retain Chris as our attorney. I’ve asked him how to get the money back since he took it and can’t even represent him and he has not responded. I will be filing a Grievance with the Bar association due to this. It’s absolutely ridiculous. He could’ve just told us from the beginning he couldn’t take the case for whatever reason. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND WASTED MONEY AND DO NOT HIRE HIM.

Mr . Burchinal took my daughter's drunk driving case and she was also a minor we were scared and didn't know what to do. Chris was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain and keep us informed of what was going on. We were very pleased with Mr.Burchinal and would highly recommend him and have... to friends and family.

I had made some poor choices and gotten myself into some trouble with the law. Mr. Burchinal took my case for a very reasonable amount and allowed me to make payments. He called me every Friday to update me on my case, even when nothing was going on. I was scared that I was going to go to jail but he... really stood up for me and I ended up getting probation. Even though he didn't know me, he really seemed to care about my situation and took time to talk to me like a real person, not just some criminal. I would definitely use him again, but I hope I don't need to.
