After school when all the kids should have been gone, client entered the girl's restroom to clean and found the two girls in the bathroom. The yelled and screamed at client who left immediately. The girls made a story up that client was trying to watch them and after a great deal of investigation and interviewing witnesses, the State's attorney agreed no crime had been committed and dismissed the case.

Client was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute each. As client was leaving the shopping mall with his girlfriend, law enforcement detained him ... and asked him questions relating to drug activity. Client responded in the negative, but officers nonetheless searched his vehicle. The search was determined to be unlawful and the evidence subject to suppression so the prosecutor dismissed the case.

Client was charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, Flee & Elude and Running a Red Light. Client refused to take a breath or blood test after officers noticed the "strong" odor of alcohol. Client then too ... k and provided a number of cues on the standardized field sobriety tests, but she did not take the requested breath test. At trial, the State presented evidence that client drove fast and recklessly in an attempt to avoid their stop. In the process of fleeing, client ran through a red light. At trial, Hoeme was able to respond to the evidence showing that her speed did not equate to recklessness and that she drove very well under the conditions and therefore was not "unable to safely operate a motor vehicle." She was found not guilty of all counts but the red light violation!
