May 01, 2025OUTCOME: We settled the case against Sutter County and obtained a default judgment against the individual defendant, Sara Hollis, who was accused of making racial slurs and assaulting our client.

In our ... complaint, we alleged that Mr. Claire was the victim of a hate crime perpetrated by individual, Sara Hollis. When Mr. Claire called law enforcement for assistance, we alleged that officials from the Sutter County police department failed to follow the proper protocols in this situation and tampered with evidence.
