Helping a Family Grow

OUTCOME: Adoption Completed

I was so excited to help two sweet grandparents adopt their granddaughter who had lived with them for the majority of her life. They were wonderful people to work with and even though the adoption pro ... cess can be drawn out and complicated, they were great at getting all the documents in on time. It really helped their case go smoothly and it only took a couple of months before their granddaughter became their child for all legal purposes. They needed the adoption to take place so that they would be able to help their granddaughter obtain insurance, to help with the ease of access to her medical records and expenses, and to be able to adequately care for her as she grew up since they were acting in place of her legal parents.
