ARD Reconsideration and Acceptance

My client was seeking admission into the ARD Program in Delaware County, however, he had a prior conviction. ARD is designed for non-violent first time offenders and my client was denied admission. Ins ... tead of giving up and taking another approach, I started to work on an ARD Reconsideration letter. I worked closely with my client to put together a comprehensive letter and I submitted the letter to the Court. After reading my Reconsideration letter, the ADA complimented my persuasive writing skills, asked whether I was on Law Review (I was) and indicated that my client would likely be accepted into the program. My client was told by friends that he had about a 10% chance of success. I'm happy to say that we beat the odds and he was accepted onto the ARD Program!
