Colton W. Givens

Colton Givens is a valued member of Kerrick Bachert, PSC, having joined the firm in 2018. His practice primarily focuses on civil litigation, covering areas such as insurance defense, business litigation, employment law, higher education law, and personal injury cases. Colton is a regular advocate in Kentucky's trial and appellate courts, adeptly managing both state and federal legal matters. His previous experience includes clerking for Judge Thomas B. Russell in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and Judge Eugene E. Siler Jr. in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
A summa cum laude graduate from the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law in 2016, Colton was active in the Kentucky Law Journal editorial board and the school's National Trial Competition team. His scholarly note, published in the Kentucky Law Journal, earned the Faculty Award for Outstanding Note. Colton also holds a political science degree from Murray State University, where he was involved in the mock trial team, marching band, and basketball pep band. With deep roots in South Central Kentucky, Colton resides in Butler County and actively participates in professional organizations such as the Bowling Green-Warren County Bar Association and Kentucky Defense Counsel.
