Plaintiff sought declaration of ownership of dog which Defendant took from her and has not returned after a joint ownership/exchange agreement was signed by the parties and utilized for years. At a rep ... levin hearing, the judge found that the agreement was a valid contract and also ordered Defendant to have over the dog immediately for visitation with Plaintiff and resumption of shared custody on a regular schedule.

Plaintiff was in coma and not expected to live. Friend/coworker farmed out her dozen or so pets to various other coworkers and acquaintances, including Cochise the Doberman Pinscher. After patient mira ... culously awoke from her coma months later, she demanded return of the dog. But the dog and its owners were already quite attached to one another, and plus they took in the animal only with the understanding that it was a permanent situation. Defendants argued there was implied agency to avoid the deaths of the animals by placing them in permanent homes when there was little to no chance of plaintiff's survival or competency.

Snowbird homeowners insurance policyholder's house flooded and experienced considerable damage when he was out of town. Despite three decades' experience as a handyman including plumbing maintenance an ... d repairs, he sued his insurance agent and agency for not selling him an endorsement to cover water damage from plumbing malfunctions, which he had declined to pay for. He was not able to obtain "standard" coverage due to too many prior claims and purchasing a residential property via foreclosure and which needed extensive repairs.

Eventually case was dismissed and rescue organization refiled in Justice Court, and that case was dismissed.

Grandmother (my client) sought guardianship of three of her grandchildren, the children of her daughter who had been murdered by their father. Temporary placement in Indiana, where the family resided, ... was with a paternal aunt who took in the children even though she had a child of her own and was only 21 years old. A year later, father pled guilty and was sentenced to 50 years in the death of the children's mother. Grandmother traveled went to sentencing hearing and brought the children back to Arizona. She then petitioned for and obtained first temporary guardianship and then final permanent guardianship.
