The parties agreed to let the judge decide the issue of the attorneys' fees that GM would be req ... uired to pay. The judge awarded attorneys' fees and GM appealed arguing that attorneys' fees should not be awarded on a Lemon Law claim for a cash compensation settlement because under the Lemon Law at trial a consumer can only get a repurchase or new car replacement, not compensation. The Arizona Court of Appeals disagreed and upheld the attorneys' fee award of the trial court level judge.
