OUTCOME: After a trial in the matter, the Court awarded my client sole legal decision-making and physical custody of the child. Father was Ordered to undergo random drug and alcohol testing, complete a treatment program and exercise supervised parenting time.

Mother retained my services to seek a modification to her decision-making and parenting time Orders. Father had the majority of parenting time with the parties' minor child, age 9. However, the child ... began to reveal the fact that Father was abusing alcohol during his parenting time. I employed a mental health professional to interview the minor child and it was determined that the child was suffering very negative effects from the Father's substance abuse.
