Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana (Federal)

Our client was charged, along with 33 other co-defendants, with conspiracy to distribute marijuana. This is a federal crime and if convicted, our client was facing prison time or probation. After much ... negotiations, the United States Prosecutor agreed to dismiss the charge and allowed our client to plea to a much lesser charge in state court. This is a unique outcome and allowed our client to enter a diversion program that would remove the conviction off his record upon completion of 6 months of probation. Defendant was also permitted to use medical marijuana while on probation and did not have to do even one day in jail.
