also known as Jennifer M Gatherwright
For more than 20 years, my practice has focused on tax and business law. A large part of my work is helping individuals and businesses in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati resolve IRS and state tax debt: back taxes, wage garnishments and bank levies, tax liens, offers in compromise, payment plans, payroll tax problems and unfiled returns. I also represent clients in IRS audits, Tax Court and federal court tax disputes.
Because tax and business law work hand in hand, I also advise business owners on entity choice, buying and selling businesses, and transitioning a family business to the next generation. That same background lets us represent clients in IRS criminal investigations and white-collar matters, where forensic accounting is often the key to analyzing the government's case and building a defense.
Clients work directly with an attorney at Gatherwright Freeman, from the first call through resolution. If you've received an IRS notice, give us a call.

Spouse exonerated from husband's IRS debt.
My attorney was successful in exonerating me, the wife, from all IRS debt incurred by my husband. It was an extremely convoluted case that involved my signature being forged on documents by the husband and business partners and complicated nefarious activity. It was a long process, but ultimately r...
