The Board of Immigration Appeals concluded that a petitioner's conviction under Florida Statute section 893.13(1)(a) constituted an aggravated felony under the Immigration and Nationality Act. As a res ... ult, the Board of Immigration Appeals found that the petitioner was removable and ordered him deported. On appeal, I represented the petitioner and argued that the Board of Immigration of Appeals' decision was incorrect.
OUTCOME: The Court affirmed the trial court's decision.
At the trial court, I represented the appellee, which won summary judgment on the appellant's claims that appellee had breached their contract. Because the trial court granted summary judgment, the tr ... ial court dismissed the appellant's claims based on breaches of a contract. On appeal, I again represented the appellee. I argued that, contrary to appellant's protestations, the appellee never breached the agreement, so therefore the trial court was correct in dismissing the claims.
