On Saturday October 2, 2021, and for weeks or months before, Amplify Energy and its subsidiaries allowed toxic crude oil to be spilled into the Orange County, California coastal waters. Up to 130,000 g ... allons of crude oil was discharged into the coastal waters and eventually washed ashore of coastal beaches stretching from Huntington Beach down to Dana Point, California. Beaches and fisheries were closed within days, causing significant harm and economic loss to property owners, businesses, and individuals throughout the Orange County coastal communities. This lawsuit seeks to rectify the unimaginable harm caused to local businesses in the Orange County coastal communitiies.
