Stephanie M. Wurdock

Stephanie Wurdock knew, from the moment she observed her first medical malpractice trial as a judicial intern, that she wanted to pursue a career defending health care providers. She therefore returned to her second year at the University of Kentucky College of Law with plans to study health care law and develop her litigation skills. Upon graduating in 2011, Stephanie was thrilled to accept a position with Sturgill Turner in its health care practice group.

Stephanie’s practice at Sturgill Turner is focused on the defense of nursing homes, hospitals, and other health care providers in the Central Kentucky region. She works diligently to defend her clients against claims of negligent care, wrongful death, and violations of resident’s rights. Her clients currently include a Fortune 500 health care corporation, a university hospital, and a national medical malpractice insurance provider. Stephanie’s energy, attitude, and attention to detail have already helped her bring several cases to desirable conclusions.

In addition to her work as a litigator, Stephanie strives to educate herself and others about legal issues that affect the medical and nursing home communities. She has presented a CLE regarding litigating in the Kentucky Board of Claims and has published in MD Update Magazine, Kentucky’s most widely-read physician publication.

In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys playing an active role in DRI Inc., the Kentucky Bar Association, and the Fayette County Bar Association. She also spends time reading, exercising, and cheering on the UK Wildcats.
