I was born and initially raised in Lexington, KY and then in Ashland, KY. After graduating from Paul Blazer High School in Ashland I attended the University of Kentucky (Accounting) and then the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Law).
My first job after law school was with Arthur Anderson & Company in Raleigh, NC for about a year of tax accounting. I then moved the Charlotte, NC to work with a business and estate law firm, and then another, before forming my own solo practice in Charlotte. After a dozen years in Charlotte, I relocated back to Lexington where I have a solo practice.
