Amelia Martin Adams

Amelia's practice focuses on bankruptcy, debtor/creditor relations, and civil litigation. Thoughtful in her approach to service, Amelia develops strategies to help clients feel confident about the process of addressing difficult financial and legal matters. She takes the time to listen to clients and understand their perspectives, and she manages case details with the same level of care. In addition to private law practice, Amelia has professional experience in nonprofit management and banking administration, and she completed a clerkship with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Active in the community, Amelia serves on the Kentucky Bar Association Board of Governors, where she represents Kentucky's Fifth Supreme Court District. She is a past President of the Fayette County Bar Association, the Fayette County Women Lawyers' Association, and the Junior League of Lexington. She is a Barrister in the Central Kentucky American Inn of Court, serves as a member of the Lexington History Museum Board of Trustees, and volunteers with Second Presbyterian Church.

Amelia graduated from Transylvania University with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, cum laude, and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
