Christina Lynn Vessels

I am licensed to practice in Kentucky and in Ohio, and I concentrate my practice in civil litigation.  I primarily focus on insurance coverage and bad faith and on the defense of school boards, administrators, and teachers. I have considerable experience in the direct representation of insurance companies with regard to coverage determinations and in defending against claims of bad faith, extra-contractual liability, and violations of the Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Act.  In addition to representing companies for their decision making, I have represented other types of professionals against malpractice and errors and omissions claims, including insurance adjusters and agents, construction professionals, and attorneys.

I have also successfully defended school boards, school administrators, teachers, and classified personnel against claims brought by parents and students.  I am well versed in the interpretation of insurance contracts and have assisted insurance companies in drafting and revising policies to better meet the needs and expectations of school officials.

Further, I have a successful appellate practice.  I am adept at briefing and arguing cases in the appellate courts, with considerable experience at both state and federal levels.

I have been awarded an AV® Preeminent™ rating by Martindale-Hubbell and have been selected as a Kentucky Rising Star by the Super Lawyers list since 2013.
