Awesome Client Communications, team and Support Staff

(This is an updated review since I hired Su again.)I hired Su Kang in 2014 for a legal name change before I even knew that my family law case would be transferred to KY from another state in 2016. I'm grateful that I did. My case is probably one of the most complicated cases with over 130 (I lost... count around 130) appearances before our judge in 5 years due to frivolous litigation from the opposing side with numerous counsel representing the other side. She hired the right support professionals (mediator, custodial evaluator, etc.) in the beginning to provide necessary reports. I thought it was very time-consuming and seemed to take forever, but I’ve learned that is how all cases go. It is very emotionally draining. I made the mistake of trying to save money and going to two other attorneys who completely derailed my case before I went back to Su who put it back on track. Going to other attorneys was a mistake and cost me way more than if I had stayed with Su all along. Moving forward, Su helped me save money by scheduling calls to go over issues rather than giving in to my early emotional contacts that could rack up the bill. She played the long game - the marathon - and helped me understand that these matters are not a sprint. Family Court is dreadful everywhere, but it really takes a talented attorney to navigate the nuances of complicated cases, especially when there are physical injuries in children underlying emotional ones. Su is straightforward and never made empty promises. She was realistic and set my expectations correctly so that I could manage my emotions through the painful process. She is empathetic and cares about what is best for the children in these challenging situations. I recommend Su without reservation.

Superficial, Not trustworthy

After initial meeting, Su painted a perfect picture, promised that she will do her best to fight for my justice. I trusted her because she attends the same church I have been serving for 15+ years. She talked about God to me, so I believed in her. I Trusted that she will fight for my daughter. A...fter many meetings, necessary or not, we repeat same conversation over and over, and she looked at her phone, texting or distracted by calls. I was too naive and polite to complaint or confront her. At the end, what I had was huge fees, humiliation, and anger. My situation has gotten worse than before I sought out for Su’s help. God’s words are making me a better person, and will always be. I have been praying for Su, God will stand by her, open the eyes of her heart, Love God, be justice. """

Excellent lawyer

I hired Ms. Kang after she came highly recommended by another well respected attorney to represent me in dealing with some serious custody issues. She did an excellent job. I was quite impressed by her knowledge of the law. Even more impressive than her knowledge of the law was her work ethic and del...ivery of this knowledge in the courtroom. Ms. Kang cares about the outcome on a personal level she realizes that there are real people involved and looks at your situation with compassion and she does her job with the highest integrity. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an attorney that practices family law.
