I was arrested at my work on an asault charge, it was self defense. My ex boyfriend had been stalking me constantly and found me at a bar, I had a rough week and just need to relax. He convinced me to talk and forcibly took me for a walk. We argued and he wouldn't let me go so I got scared, I thou...ght he was going to hurt me like he has before. My fight or flight kicked in, and I fought. I fought for my life. Ultimately he ended up roughed up, and I took off running. He threatened me online, I didn't think anything of it, I was finished, I couldn't fight anymore with him. I found Ryan through a friend and he seemed great, told me he's handled cases like this, etc. I hired Ryan, he seemed like this case didn't matter, he just didn't do much. He was always, very late, he had other important things to do than be my lawyer. I accepted the plea deal because I was scared, I was told this could be a FELONY, trial is expensive, nothing but negative, I had done placed all my faith and all my money into Ryan. I have never committed a crime in my life, not even a speeding ticket. He didn't hesitate to let me accept the plea, because it's a win for him and the district attorney, He does not care for his clients. I'm a proven fact of that. I lost my job, my degrees mean nothing, my life is ruined. I will mention he wrote off $500.00, guess he felt bad after the matter was over.
