I have over 25 years of experience in criminal law. I began my career in 1986 as Chief Narcotics Prosecutor in the Jefferson County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office (Louisville's first "Drug Czar"). I have developed an intimate knowledge of how prosecution works, and I use this knowledge to aggressively manage a client's defense.
Criminal investigations can devastate people's lives. Overzealous prosecutors can make good people feel bad, and questions raised during investigations can color the opinions of colleagues, friends and relatives. I believe defending a client is not just about the legal issues - it's personal and emotional. In order to provide the best defense, it is important to really care about the client - to walk a mile in their shoes.

"When I was a prosecutor years back, only one defense attorney really handed it to me. And that was Mark Chandler. Since that time, I've seen that nothing has changed. IF you've been charged with a white collar crime, call Mark Chandler to get the defense attorney that gets the prosecutions attention!"
"I endorse this lawyer. Mark Chandler is a suberb criminal defense attorney. He has tried, and won, scores of cirminal trials in both state and federal court. Mr. Chandler's first job after law school 30 years ago was to serve as the chief narcotics prosecutor in Louisville. Since starting his private practice 25 years ago, Mr. Chandler has become an expert at defending white collar defendants while still maintaining his reputation as the top drug defense lawyer in Kentucky. I would hire him without reservation if a member of my family needed an attorney."
